Dewaxed Shellac We offer a wide range of dewaxed shellac. All the impurities are completely removed by dissolving the seedlac in a suitable solvent, usually, chilled industrial alcohol. After this, the solution is filtered through fine cloth and then the alcohol is recovered by boiling the solution. Then, the molten shellac is stretched to the required thickness on a roller. Then dewaxed shellac is obtained. The dewaxed shellac is highly sophisticated and can be produced by this method by adding activated carbon as the decolorizing agent. The impurity is around 0.2%.
